The Catholic parish church of St. Peter and Paul is a monument in Rehrosbach near Eurasburg in Swabia.
history
The core of the Church of St. Peter and Paul is probably Gothic . It was expanded to the west from 1907 to 1909 (nave with benches). At the same time, the tower was also rebuilt . Today the parish belongs to the Ottmaring parish community .
Building description
St. Peter and Paul is a flat-roofed hall building with a retracted rectangular choir , which is shifted from the axis to the south. An octagon with an onion dome is placed on the north tower with a square floor plan .
Furnishing
The stucco in the style of the late 17th century was created in 1907 by Fritz Wirth based on designs by Anton Bachmann. The frescoes by Sebastian Wirsching date from the same period . The high altar and the right side altar date from the end of the 17th century. The left side altar and the pulpit are probably neo-baroque . The figures in the high altar from the circle of Lorenz Luidl represent the Mother of God with Christ and God the Father above; on the sides St. Barbara and probably St. Elisabeth . Outside there are figures of Saints Thomas and Nicholas . In the right side altar there are figures of St. Paul between the apostles Bartholomäus and Judas Thaddäus . The depictions of saints Peter and Paul wooden passed , are from the late 15th century.
