description

The classicistic hall church from 1824 has taken over the stately choir tower and the adjoining yoke for the choir made of quarry stones from a previous medieval building. The tower is completed by a slate-roofed , eight-sided, pointed helmet and slender corner turrets with tower clocks in between. On the long sides of the nave there are three rectangular windows , which are continued over a frieze by arched windows . The portals lie between pilaster strips on both sides of the long sides . The interior of the nave, spanned by an open roof structure, has circumferential, two-storey galleries on the long sides and a protruding pulpit altar . The baptismal font comes from the time the nave was built. The church furnishings are classical. The organ with 27 registers , divided into 2 manuals and a pedal , was built in 1826 by Johann Michael Gottlob Böhme, rebuilt by Julius Strobel in 1882 and restored in 1990 by Norbert Sperschneider, Gerhard Kirchner's successor .
