St. Sebastian (Brno)
The Roman Catholic branch church St. Sebastian is the village church of Brno , a district of Münnerstadt in the Bavarian district of Bad Kissingen . It belongs to the architectural monuments of Münnerstadt and is registered under the number D-6-72-135-110 in the Bavarian monument list .
history
Brno used to be a branch of Wermerichshausen and is now part of the Münnerstadt parish . The church was built at the end of the 14th century. The nave was expanded in 1957. In 1958 the church received three new bells.
description
The steeple with a pointed helmet stands as a choir tower in the east. The choir room in the basement has a ribbed vault . The flat-roofed nave has three window axes . A round choir arch separates it from the choir room.
Furnishing
The top of the high altar comes from the monastery church in Bildhausen . It was made around 1740. To the right of the choir arch there is a figure of the church patron Sebastian . The organ is the work of the organ builder Johann Kirchner from Euerdorf . It was installed in the 19th century.
