St. Tertulin (Schlehdorf)
The Roman Catholic parish church of St. Tertulin in Schlehdorf in the Upper Bavarian district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen belongs as part of the parish of the same name in the Heimgarten-Schlehdorf-Ohlstadt-Großweil parish to the Werdenfels deanery of the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising . The former monastery church of Schlehdorf Monastery with the address Kirchstrasse 7 is a listed building along with other monastery buildings .
history
In 772 Pope Hadrian I gave the Schlehdorf Monastery the relics of the catacomb saint Tertulin , who was then designated the patron saint of the previous church .
The construction of the baroque - classicist church probably began in 1726. It was completed between 1773 and 1780 under Balthasar Trischberger .
During the secularization , the Bavarian state kept the monastery church as property and made it available to the parish as a parish church.
The church building has been extensively renovated by the Weilheim State Building Authority since 2014 . In doing so, u. a. the roof renewed and the statics strengthened.
Description and equipment
The baroque wall pillar hall faces northeast. It has high sides of the chapel and a flat end of the choir . In the southwest is the classifying double tower facade . Most of the interior was painted by Johann Baptist Baader .
organ
The organ was built in 1783 by Franz Thoma (1745–1817) from Aitrang . Although it was rebuilt several times, including by Max Maerz in 1877 and by Guido Nenninger in 1962 , so much of the original substance remained that 1997–2000 a restoration by the Munich organ builder Johannes Führer could be carried out.
The organ with mechanical action has 18 stops on two manuals and pedal and has the following disposition :
