The listed Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. Trinitatis is in Bechstedt-Wagd , a district of the municipality of Amt Wachsenburg in the Ilm district of Thuringia . The parish Bechstedt-Wagd part of the parish association Egstedt in the parish of Erfurt the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

The nave of the simple Romanesque hall church was rebuilt in 1724 in the baroque style . The choir tower has coupled windows on the upper floor. It was changed at the end of the 19th century. On the east side there is a walled arch that led to the demolished apse . The tower has coupled windows on the upper floor . It is covered with an eight-sided pointed slate-covered helmet , which is crowned with a tower ball .

The interior has two-story circumferential galleries , the parapets of which are decorated. The pulpit altar from 1703 has carved figures of Moses and John the Baptist . On the steps of the choir both sides lodges built. The organ with 21 registers , divided into 2 manuals and pedal , was built in 1839 by an unknown organ builder and restored in 1955 by Friedrich Löbling.
