description

The hall church is still medieval in parts , especially its retracted, longitudinally rectangular choir . In 1719 the nave was extended. There were three large windows facing south. Furthermore galleries were built. The octagonal tower of the church tower houses the belfry . A chilled cast iron bell hangs in it . It was used as a replacement for the bronze church bell from 1789, which was melted down for military purposes in 1917. The tower is covered with a curved dome from the 18th century.

The choir is spanned with a late Gothic ribbed vault. In it stands a free-standing pulpit altar with slender, fluted columns . The church furnishings were completely renewed in 1841. The organ has 10 registers , which are divided between a manual and a pedal . It was built in 1842 by Karl Ernst Poppe .
