The "Stade Yves-Allainmat", better known under the name Stade du Moustoir, is the football stadium of FC Lorient . It is located in the French port city of Lorient in the Morbihan department in Brittany . The stadium is located near the city center. The opening took place in 1959.
The stadium previously had a capacity of 15,870. In honor of the French politician and long-time mayor of Lorient Yves Allainmat , who died in 1993, the stadium was named “Stade du Moustoir-Yves-Allainmat”. The venue was renovated for the promotion of FC Lorient to the first division in 1998. In January 2009, work began on a new south stand, which was released the following year. There are now a total of 18,500 seats, including 18,110 seats; The new building also contains an event hall for around 500 people. Before start of the season 2010/11 one was artificial turf laid, which together with Lorient Nancy Stade Marcel Picot heralds a first in French Football.
The attendance record with 17,395 visitors dates from April 27, 2013 from the game FC Lorient against Olympique Marseille (0: 1).
The stadium is also used for major events at the annual Interceltique Festival and for individual outdoor concerts.
