Restructuring until 2017

Following the regular visitation , Cardinal Christoph Schönborn commissioned the parishes in January 2012 to initiate a reorganization of church life. As part of a pilot project, the parishes are to be more closely networked with one another - parish mergers have also been an issue from the start. On February 26, 2013, after one year of discussions, the following parish associations were recommended, which were put into "development spaces" at the end of November 2015:

  • The parishes of the Most Holy Trinity, St. John the Evangelist and Zur Hl. Familie form the new parish "Zum Divine Word" (since June 2015)
  • The parishes Salvator am Wienerfeld, To the hl. Apostles, to St. Franz von Sales and Maria vom Berge Karmel form the new parish "Christ on Wienerberg" (since September 2015)
  • The parishes of Our Lady of the Three Miracles, Catherine of Siena, Queen of Peace and St. Anton form the new parish "Divine Mercy" (since November 2015)
  • The parishes of Laaer Berg, Oberlaa and St. Paul have formed a parish association since January 1st, 2017 .
  • The parish Emmaus am Wienerberg could form a parish association in the city dean's office 23 with the parishes Inzersdorf and Inzersdorf-Neustift .

The restructuring in Dean's Office 10 should be completed by the parish council elections in March 2017.
