Stanley Biwott, 2013 London Marathon

Stanley Kipleting Biwott (born April 21, 1986 ) is a Kenyan long-distance runner .

In 2006 he finished seventh at the Maratona d'Italia and in 2007 third at Roma - Ostia .

In 2010 he won the São Paulo Marathon and finished second in the Reims Marathon . The following year he won the Medio-Maratón Azkoitia-Azpeitia and the Chuncheon Marathon .

In 2012 he set course records in both the Paris Half Marathon and the Paris Marathon . Later in the season he won the Beach to Beacon 10K , the Philadelphia Half Marathon and the San Antonio Marathon half marathon . He finished third in the Shanghai Marathon .

In 2013 he finished second in the RAK Half Marathon , eighth in the London Marathon and defended his title in Philadelphia. During 2014 London Marathon , he finished second. In 2015 he finished fourth in the London Marathon and won the New York Marathon .

With his time of 58:56 minutes in the RAK half marathon in Ra's al-Khaimah in 2013, Biwott is 12th in the all-time world ranking for the half marathon .

In April 2016, Biwott ran the sixth fastest marathon time ever run in the London Marathon with 2:03:51 h.
