The Star Flyer is a four-masted luxury cruise ship . The same sister ship is the Star Clipper .

The 115 m long ships belong to the Monegasque shipping company Star Clippers SAM (Societé Anonyme de Monaco), are also managed by them and are registered under the Maltese flag. Each of the ships designed as barquentines offers space for up to 170 passengers.

The Star Flyer was put into service in 1991 as the first of the shipping company's three sailing ships (the third ship is the larger Royal Clipper ), followed by the Star Clipper in 1992 . The ships are mainly used for cruises in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean, but there are also occasional trips to the South Seas and the North and Baltic Seas.

2012, took Star Flyer at the windjammer parade of the Kiel Week in part.
