Star Park

The Star Park is a 230 hectare developed industrial park near Halle (Saale) . It is partly located in the same area in the city of Halle, as well as on areas belonging to Dölbau ( Kabelsketal ) and Queis (Landsberg) near the Halle-Ost motorway exit of the A14 and about 12 kilometers from Leipzig / Halle Airport . The park has a direct connection to the A14 and the B100 and also has its own rail connection.

history

Around the turn of the millennium, the area was opened up in the hope that BMW would build a new plant there. However, BMW gave Leipzig the contract in 2001 and opened the BMW plant in Leipzig in 2005 . In the period that followed, the area lay fallow for development purposes and was still used as arable land, but was to continue to be marketed as an industrial area. On October 11, 2002, the development plan under the name of the Halle-Saalkreis industrial area on the A 14 came into force. The total investments for the development of the area, u. a. with electricity, gas, water, telecommunications lines, roads and rail, totaled 76.8 million euros. 68.8 million euros were funded by the Sachsen-Anhalt Investment Bank . In the years that followed, some well-known companies were finally able to settle here. As of December 2014, 31.6 hectares had been sold, 42.8 hectares reserved and 154.3 hectares available. By means of an area change agreement signed with the Saalekreis in 2011, the development and management company Halle-Saalkreis mbH, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the city of Halle, can market the area alone. Since then, all tax revenue, except for property tax, has also been flowing to the city of Halle. According to the development company's website, 9 hectares will still be available in summer 2020.
