Steele Von Hoff (born December 31, 1987 in Mornington ) is an Australian road cyclist .

Career

Steele Von Hoff won a stage in the Tour of Gippsland and the Shipwreck Coast Classic in 2010. In 2011 he received his first contract with an international cycling team , the Australian Continental Team Genesys Wealth Advisers . In his first year there, he finished seventh overall in the Tour of Wellington . At the Oceania Championship in Shepparton , he won the bronze medal in the road race.

In 2012 Von Hoff moved to the American Continental Team Chipotle-First Solar Development Team , the farm team of the ProTeam Garmin-Barracuda, for which he drove at the end of the year, initially as a trainee and then until 2014 with a regular contract. For Chipotle he was able to achieve four successes: He won one stage each of the Tour du Loir-et-Cher and the Olympia's Tour . He was also able to record two day victories at the Tour de la Guadeloupe . For Garmin , apart from the Australian championship in the 2014 criterion , he was unable to record any further victories. However, he achieved a few podium finishes in the World Tour races Tour Down Under and Tour de Pologne .

At the beginning of the 2015 season, Von Hoff moved to the British Continental Team NFTO and was able to win the Australian championship in the criterion again. A few weeks later he won the fourth stage in the peloton's mass sprint at the Tour Down Under in the jersey of the Australian national team .

Von Hoff rode for ONE Pro Cycling in the 2016 seasons . His most significant success during this time was a stage win at de Tour of Norway 2016. In 2018 he won the road race at the Commonwealth Games .
