Stefan Šćepović ( Serbian - Cyrillic Стефан Шћеповић ; born January 10, 1990 in Belgrade , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian football player . The former Serbian international has been under contract with Jagiellonia Białystok in Poland since January 2019 .
society
Scepovic started his professional career in 2008 at OFK Belgrade and was awarded to lower-class clubs and in 2010 to Sampdoria Genoa . Here he played two games in Serie A and was sold to the Belgian first division club Bruges for € 650,000 at the end of the season . Here, too, the loan to KV Kortrijk followed during the winter break . In 2011 he moved on to the Israeli association Hapoel Akko . A year later he joined Partizan Belgrade , where he scored eight goals in 19 competitive games. In the 2013 winter transfer period, he moved back to Israel, on loan to the first division club MS Ashdod . There he scored six goals in 13 league games. This was followed by a brief return to Partizan, who then sent him back to Sporting Gijón on July 17th on loan to the Spanish Segunda División . He got off to a good start there, as he is the first player in Spanish second division history to score at least one goal in the first five league games of the season. In February 2014 the club bought him from Partizan Belgrade for a transfer fee of around one million euros. In September 2014 Šćepović moved to the Scottish club Celtic Glasgow . After he scored 4 goals in 19 league games in the 2014/15 season , and had also won the Scottish Championship and the League Cup, Šćepović was loaned to Getafe FC in Spain . The Spanish club signed him at the end of the season, but loaned him directly to Sporting Gijón for six months and then went to MOL Vidi FC . But the next change followed during the 2018/19 winter break, this time to the Polish first division club Jagiellonia Białystok . In March he tore a cruciate ligament and has been out since then. In 2020 he moved to Japan. Here he signed a contract with the second division club FC Machida Zelvia in Machida .
National team
After 12 games and seven goals for Serbia's U-21s , Šćepović made his international debut in the senior national team in the friendly against Cyprus (0-0) on February 29, 2012 . Since the first and so far only goal, the striker was able to score in the 2014 World Cup qualifying in a 5-1 win over Macedonia .
