Stefan Bosse (* 24. December 1964 in Kaufbeuren ) is a German politician of the CSU . He has been Lord Mayor of the city of Kaufbeuren since 2004 .

After obtaining the technical college entrance qualification , he went into the police service. After studying at the Police Leadership Academy (now the German Police University ) in Münster-Hiltrup , he worked in the Bavarian Ministry of the Interior and was then a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration and Justice - Police Department: School of Commissioners - in Fürstenfeldbruck . Since November 1st, 2004 he has been Lord Mayor of the city of Kaufbeuren. Associated with his office are a number of positions as chairman or deputy chairman in regional companies and associations. He is currently chairman of the Allgäu planning region .

His "24-hour tour" campaign in June 2017 was also reported in national media. Here he was out and about 24 hours a day in Kaufbeuren overnight and visited clubs, private individuals and companies in order to get in touch and clarify possible problems on site. He reported directly on his visits via social media . The action was carried out again in 2018. In the local elections on March 15, 2020, he was confirmed in office in the first ballot.
