In Toronto he studied literature , history , economics and philosophy at York University . He graduated from McGill University in Montreal with a bachelor's degree . He has also recorded over 1,000 podcasts and written several books , all of which are self-published except Revolutions , which was published by Publish America. In 2006, Stefan Molyneux gave up his previous work in the software area to work full-time for Freedomain Radio . This is a site financed by donations and subscriptions from their listeners.

criticism

Stefan Molyneux and his wife Christina Papadopoulos are criticized for their podcast segment “Ask a therapist”. This podcast would encourage teenage callers and listeners to separate from family . According to Peter Osborne of the College of Psychologists of Ontario, this practice is particularly dubious because the online Freedomain radio podcast community often becomes the teens' new family. Molyneux said on one of the podcasts that if you return to your family, you risk being viewed as unstable. A review of Papadopoulos' professional activity as director of Mississauga's Meadowvale Psychological Services found that in no single instance had she recommended separation from family. The College of Psychologists of Ontario reprimanded therapist Papadopoulos in relation to podcast therapy for improper behavior because the procedures and recommendations did not meet psychological standards. Separation from the family is appropriate in individual cases, v. a. in the event of abuse; Papadopoulos did not even try to find out whether such cases existed.
