Stefan Schlett
Stefan Schlett (born January 31, 1962 in Kleinostheim near Aschaffenburg ) is a German extreme athlete . He does ultra-long distance running, skydiving, triathlon and mountaineering.
Sporting successes
Stefan Schlett is one of two people in the world who has crossed three continents on foot in a competition: America 1992, Australia 2001, Europe 2003 . He is also the first German to run a marathon on all seven continents and holds German records in the ultramarathon from 1000 kilometers to 1300 miles. He finished second at the world premiere in the Deca triathlon (10 times the Ironman distance) in Monterrey. He is the first runner to run the highest ( Mount Everest / Nepal ), the deepest ( Sea of Galilee / Israel ), the northernmost ( Spitsbergen / Norway ) and the southernmost ( Antarctica ) marathon.
He has been a specialist journalist for 30 years and has published more than 400 reports in print and online magazines in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and France. He was the first German participant in many well-known events ( Badwater Ultramarathon , Western States Endurance Run , 1000-Mile Run New York, Tough Guy Race , Grand Raid ) and made them known as a pioneer in German-speaking countries through his publications.

Trivia
In 2011, Schlett and Wolfgang Kulow were accompanied by Spiegel when the two runners completed a 500 km long route through the central Asian sand desert Taklamakan for a planned endurance race . The documentary was broadcast on VOX in June 2011 .
