Steffen Tigges (born July 31, 1998 ) is a German soccer player who is under contract with Borussia Dortmund . He is a trained center forward, but is now also used more often in the outer positions.

Career

Tigges, who started playing football at TuS Glane and played in the youth teams there until 2011, then moved to VfL Osnabrück, where he played in the various youth teams until 2016 and played in the B and A junior Bundesliga .

He made his competitive debut for the third division team of VfL Osnabrück on December 12, 2015 in a 0-0 draw against FC Erzgebirge Aue , when he came on for Marcos Álvarez in the 76th minute and again in the 90th minute due to an injury had to be replaced. On May 14, 2016, he scored his first competitive goal on the 38th matchday of the 2015/16 season in a 3-1 home defeat against Fortuna Cologne .

For the 2019/20 season, Tigges moved to the regional division Borussia Dortmund II after VfL's promotion to the second division . In January 2020, he and his teammate Chris Führich were allowed to take part in the first team's winter training camp in Marbella .

National team

On April 17, 2017, Tigges played in the U19 national team for Germany in the game against Denmark. In the 2017/18 season he also played four games in the U20s .
