Stephanie Caroline March (* 23. July 1974 in Dallas , Texas ) is an American actress .

life and career

March was born in Dallas, Texas to John Abe March IV and his wife Laura Len (née Irwin). She has a sister named Charlotte. Her family has German , Dutch , Irish and English roots. She attended Highland Park High School , the same school Angie Harmon went to. She later graduated from Northwestern University in Chicago with a degree in Drama and Hispanic American Studies .

March made her debut in an episode of the 1997 television series Alone Against the Future . From 2000 to 2005 and 2009 to 2012, she appeared in 96 episodes of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit as Alexandra Cabot , which she also played in 2006 on the series Conviction embodied, see. In the comedy Head of State (2003) she played an accompanist to the presidential candidate played by Chris Rock . In the comedy The Treatment (2006) she played one of the bigger roles alongside Chris Eigeman , Ian Holm and Famke Janssen .

March married her compatriot, TV chef and restaurant owner, Bobby Flay in 2005. In 2015 the couple split.
