Steven Wink (born May 9, 1984 in Ottweiler ) is a German politician ( FDP ) and has been a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament since 2016 .

Life and education

Steven Wink was born in Ottweiler in 1984 and grew up in Pirmasens . After his secondary school leaving certificate , Wink completed an apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic , which he completed in 2003. He then signed up for the Bundeswehr . He was used as a specialist in the Navy and with the paratroopers. Through his work as a member of the General Confidential Committee (GVPA), Wink was involved in fundamental decisions by the Ministry of Defense . After Steven Wink had made up his technical college entrance qualification, he completed a business degree in the field of taxes and accounting at the ASW - Saarland University of Cooperative Education . He completed this in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts degree . After working for an auditing company and as a management assistant, he has been the head of accounting at a shoe manufacturer in Pirmasens since mid-2016. He graduated from the University of Economics and Technology (HTW) Saar with a Master of Arts degree in accounting, auditing and finance in July 2016 .

Since 2014, Wink has been running a part-time startup with a friend , which is active in the field of research and development.

politics

Wink has been a member of the FDP and the Young Liberals since 2008 . After he was elected deputy chairman of the FDP Pirmasens in 2012, the Young Liberals of Rhineland-Palatinate elected him their state chairman in 2013. Wink, who has also been a member of the state board of the FDP Rhineland-Palatinate since the same year , ran for the state election in Rhineland-Palatinate in 2016 as the top candidate of the JuLis in 5th place on the FDP state list. Already in 2009 and 2014 Wink ran on the FDP list for the Pirmasens city council election and in 2013 as a direct candidate in constituency 211 for the federal election.

In the state elections in 2016 , he was elected to the 17th state parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate .

In the state parliament he is a member of the committee for economy and transport, committee for health, care and demography, committee for social affairs and labor and in the committee for media, digital infrastructure and network policy. He is youth policy spokesman for the FDP parliamentary group.

For the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament , Wink is a member of the advisory board of the Rhineland-Palatinate Investment and Structural Bank , the assembly of the State Center for Media and Communication and the Rhineland-Palatinate youth welfare committee . Since November 2017, Wink has been chairman of the auditing committee and a member of the main committee of the assembly of the state center for media and communication. In addition, since the beginning of 2017 he has been the FDP chairman in the Enquete Commission for Economic and Location Factor Tourism in Rhineland-Palatinate , which started its work in September of the same year.

In addition, and for the region, Steven Wink is a member of the board of the foundation "Grüner Wall im Westen - memorial former Westwall", in the intergroup working group for the partnership with Rwanda, in the data protection commission of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, in the advisory board of the state office for data and information and on the Advisory Board on the State Transparency Act.

Steven Wink has been a member of the Pirmasens City Council since May 2017. For this, Steven Wink is a deputy member of the main committee and works committee of the business and service operations of the city of Pirmasens. He is also a deputy member of the award committee for the Hugo Ball Prize.

Steven Wink is a deputy member of the supervisory board of Stadtwerke Pirmasens Holding GmbH, Stadtwerke Pirmasens Vertriebs GmbH, Stadtwerke Pirmasens Verkehrs GmbH , Luft- und Badepark (PLUB) as well as BioEnergie GmbH Pirmasens and the holding company "Rheinberger" GmbH. Since May 2017, Steven Wink has been a deputy member of the Supervisory Board of Krankenhaus Pirmasens gGmbH and of the medical care center of the municipal hospital Pirmasens gGmbH (MVZ).

Member of the German Armed Forces Association , Association of Taxpayers Germany , Jaycees , liberal middle class , German Group of the Liberal International , the Association of German people and operation managers , ASB Pirmasens. Wink is also an expert at the DGSV (German experts and experts) and a member of the European Association of Certified Valuators (EACVA).

Private

Wink is married and has two children.
