The letters ASW stand for the former name Akademie der Saarwirtschaft ; it is named after the sponsoring association, which is made up of companies from the region. Dual courses of study

Structure of the courses

The three-year course at the BA is characterized by alternating between theoretical phases in the academy and practical phases in the training companies. As a result, practice becomes an integral part of the course for the students.

The students are both apprentices in a company and students at the BA. The training company hires the students, employs them during the practical phases in the company on the basis of a training framework plan prepared by the BA and pays the monthly tuition fee. The company that seeks to recruit its own junior managers pays the student a training allowance.
