The Staatliche Studienakademie Glauchau ( BA Glauchau ) is a study location and the headquarters of the central office of the Berufsakademie Sachsen .

Applicants conclude a three-year training contract with an approved practice partner. Admission to the course is then granted by the Glauchau University of Cooperative Education. There is no "application deadline" and no numerus clausus . Studies usually start on October 1st of each year. An open day takes place on the first Saturday in March and on the first Saturday in September.

The establishment
General
The primary training location is the main building, completed in 1954, with laboratories and over 25 lecture halls and seminar rooms. It was renovated between 2005 and 2007.
The newly built laboratory building has been in use since 2005. Here you will find laboratories specially tailored to the requirements of the technical study programs. a. a 3D coordinate measuring center, a test field "steel - wood - concrete" and a multivariable climate simulation room.
There is also a BA dormitory, sports field and cafeteria on the campus.
history
The tradition of technical training in Glauchau goes back to 1898. The “Bauschule” founded at that time (first as a private then as a municipal school) forms the basis of today's vocational academy location. In the course of time, the name and the subordination of the institution changed several times. In 1992 the first students were enrolled in the pilot project “Berufsakademie Sachsen”, two years later this public law institution was established as the “Staatliche Studienakademie Glauchau”.
The dorm
The residence hall of the BA-Glauchau consists of two buildings and offers space for more than 240 people. Depending on the type of room, these students share a common kitchen and / or washrooms. A dormitory place is available for all students of the BA-Glauchau who are a certain distance from Glauchau. You can only rent during the theory period or during theory and practice.
