Stevergau

The Stevergau was a medieval county in the Münsterland . It was north of the Lippe along the Stever . The Stevergau bordered the Gau Bursibant in the north, the Dreingau and the city of Münster in the east and Hamaland in the west . In the early Middle Ages, the lords of Lüdinghausen Castle were counts of the Stevergau. Early places of the Stevergau are z. B. Asbeck , Legden , Lette , Coesfeld , Billerbeck , the Rosendahler districts Osterwick and Darfeld , Nottuln , Appelhülsen , Darup , Senden , Lüdinghausen and Olfen .
