The Stickers Gat is a survey ship of the waterway and navigation administration of the Federal . The ship is used by the Cuxhaven Waterways and Shipping Office for measurements in the area of ​​the Outer and Lower Elbe and their tributaries.

General

The new building was commissioned by the Mechanical Engineering North Department and designed and built by the Dutch shipyard No Limit Ships in Groningen . The delivery took place in November 2014. The Stickers Gat is named after a small sea ​​gate between the Kugelbake and Neuwerk .

The hull is made of steel and the superstructure is made of aluminum. The almost circumferential fender tube , which generates additional buoyancy when rolling, is striking . The ship is powered by two MAN - diesel driven type D2866LXE40, the two fixed-pitch propellers act. With a drive power of 190  kW each , a speed of 10  kn is achieved.

The surveying system comes from the Kongsberg Group and consists of an EM2040C fan-out system and a EA400 line direction finding system.
