Foundation Children's Hospice Central Germany Nordhausen
The Stiftung Kinderhospiz Mitteldeutschland Nordhausen eV based in Nordhausen is a children's hospice service for families with a sick child with limited life expectancy. The sponsoring association is a member of the Bundesverband Kinderhospiz e. V., in the German Children's Hospice Association and in the German Parity Welfare Association . It was founded in 2005 in order to be able to offer an outpatient and inpatient service for around 6,000 affected families, especially in Thuringia , parts of Lower Saxony , Saxony-Anhalt , parts of Hesse and northern Bavaria .
The goals include the development of outpatient family support services and the establishment of an inpatient children's hospice in Tambach-Dietharz . In December 2006, among other things, a fundraising campaign by the radio station Jump raised more than 420,000 euros.
