The Stolle Sanitätshaus GmbH & Co. KG is a North German medical supply store , which was founded in 1963 in the General Hospital Hamburg-Barmbek in Hamburg . The founder and namesake was Herbert D. Stolle. Since 1963, the Stolle medical supply store has been a service provider for the supply of orthopedic aids, rehabilitation technology , as well as care and everyday aids. Around 400 employees work in two service centers in Hamburg and Schwerin . Through the branch network, Stolle is represented with 27 branches in Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . Incort was taken over at the beginning of 2017 . Orthopädietechnik Hamburg was founded together with Apollon Medizin Beteiligungs SE .

history

Herbert D. Stolle founded the company in 1963 with the takeover and management of the orthopedic workshop of the General Hospital Hamburg-Barmbek . A subsidiary that now employs more than 80 people was founded in Schwerin in 1990 . The in-house workshop of the orthopedic clinic in Schwerin developed into a branch at the Schwerin location, which is now the largest service company in this branch in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. By 1994, the nucleus of the first orthopedic workshop in Barmbek developed into a Hamburg company with around 400 employees today. The activities have been controlled from the service center in Hamburg-Farmsen since 1994 . Since 1997 the service center in Hamburg-Farmsen, the branches and the subsidiary of the Stolle Group in Schwerin have been certified according to ISO 9001 and EN 46001 (or ISO 13485 , successor to EN 46001). The Hamburg medical supply store "Gelbenegger" joined the Stolle Group in 1999, which handed over management to the service center in Hamburg-Farmsen.

The Stolle24 online shop initially opened under the name Reha-Technik 24 . In 2010 the Stolle medical supply store was the largest medical supply store in Hamburg in terms of numbers. The state association Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania of the Federal Association of Medium-Sized Enterprises awards the medical supply store with the health award. In 2013, a rehabilitation center was opened in Schwerin.

The range extends from nursing articles to orthopedic technology with orthoses and prostheses to rehabilitation technology .

Patents, initiatives, studies

Together with the founder Herbert D. Stolle and Mathias Brüning, the medical supply store developed the Duo-Back office chair based on orthopedic standards and patented it for the first time. This office chair was built by the company Rohde und Grahl , which still manufactures it today. In 1996 a patent was applied for for night storage foot rails.

Thieme Verlag Stuttgart published the book Technische Kinderorthopädie by R. Bernbeck, J. Pramschiefer, HD Stolle , which was written by the founder Herbert D. Stolle and the former managing director Jürgen Pramschiefer, among others. This is a work that is still part of the standard literature in pediatric orthopedics and is quoted today.

In the Lymphnetz Hamburg e. V. Stolle is one of the founding members, together with Altheide, Münter and Gottlieb, among others. In collaboration with Altheide, Gottlieb and Lymphnetz Hamburg e. V., among other things, clinical studies on the care of chronic wounds have been carried out.

Stolle organizes special bathing and lingerie fashion shows for people with breast cancer.

Sponsorship

Stolle sponsors the BG Baskets, the triathlon in Norderstedt, the Norderstedt cycle race , the Schwerin Castle Marathon, the football women's sports club FSV 02 Schwerin e. V., as a premium sponsor of the FC Eintracht Schwerin, the Hamburger SV and FC St. Pauli . In recent years, Stolle has also sponsored the Vitalforum Hamburg 2012, the Federal Garden Show 2009 in Schwerin, the State Garden Show Norderstedt 2011 and the International Garden Show 2013 .
