action

While serving in British India, Lieutenant Neil Allison fell in love with Joan Lattimore, his brother Jeffrey's fiancée. At the same time, the Maharajah of Lhanapur is dying. His subordinates want to prevent him from finding out about the plans of Ramin Khan, who wants to drive the British out of the country. Ramin wants to get Jeffrey, the most famous captain of the British Army, out of the way and promises a high reward for it. However, Ramin does not know that Jeffrey, of all people, disguised as a holy man, spied on his camp and escaped undetected.

Jeffrey arrives at the British fort. He is glad to find Joan and Neil safe and sound. Joan is supposed to leave after the wedding for her own safety, which annoys Neil, who has always been in the shadow of his brother. Before the wedding, Jeffrey is sent on an important mission. He is supposed to see the dying maharajah to get permission to send British troops to Lhanapur. The Maharadjah signs the decree when Ramin storms into the room to arrest Jeffrey. Jeffrey manages to escape and hand the document over to his sergeant Hallett, who makes his way back with the paper. Only now can Ramin capture Jeffrey, which Hallett, who is seriously injured in his escape, can report to the fort before he dies.

Neil is not an experienced pilot, but he still wants to use his plane to warn the British troops moving to Lhanapur of an ambush. Meanwhile, Ramin tries to force Jeffrey to spread false reports over the radio, but he is unsuccessful. Neil sees the troops and has to make an emergency landing that kills him. But the news of the ambush is found and handed over to the commander, Colonel Torrance. Ramin's people meet prepared British troops. During the fight Jeffrey breaks out of captivity and blows up an insurgent ammunition depot. Jeffrey reaches his fighting comrades, who defeat Ramin and his people. Peace in this region is secured again. Jeffrey and Joan plan their wedding, knowing that Neil's daring flight brought victory to life.

The production of Republic Pictures showed some parallels to the hit of the company Paramount Pictures from 1935 Bengali (OT: Lives of a Bengal Lancer ), in which the actors Cromwell, Tapley and Dumbrille also participated. However, critics pointed out that the quality of the Republic film was not that high.
