Straß is part of the municipality Eiselfing in the Upper Bavarian district of Rosenheim and is located on the B 304 .
A Roman road already ran through Straß in antiquity , which previously led through today's towns of Waging , Otting , Stein , Obing , Kirchensur and Stephanskirchen , then turned into another Roman road from the direction of Vogtareuth at Straß and finally led over the Inn .
Later the place was on the Salzstrasse between Salzburg and Munich and housed an inn.
In the village there is an old manor with a historic dance house designed by students of the famous architect Friedrich von Gärtner and a chapel, built around 1680.
