Vogtareuth is a municipality in the Upper Bavarian district of Rosenheim between Rosenheim and Wasserburg am Inn .

history

It was first mentioned in a document in 953 when the place was donated to the Sankt Emmeram monastery in Regensburg . 1786 the Reichsstift reached St. Emmeram the imperial immediacy for Vogtareuth. The office fell in 1803 to the Principality of Regensburg of the former primate of Dalberg . With the Paris Treaty of 1810 , the place fell to the Kingdom of Bavaria . Vogtareuth became an independent political municipality in the course of the administrative reforms in Bavaria in 1818 .

Population development

Between 1988 and 2018 the municipality grew from 2,296 to 3,372 by 1,076 inhabitants or 46.9%.

The mayor is Rudolf Leitmannstetter (ÜWG), there are four parliamentary groups in the local council: CSU-party-free voters (six seats), the non-partisan voter community / ÜWG (five seats), Active for our community / AfG (three seats) and the Vogtareuth / BL citizens' list (two seats).

Two kilometers east of Vogtareuth is Vogtareuth Airfield , a special landing pad for all types of aircraft up to 2000 kg maximum take-off weight (MTOW) and helicopters up to 5700 kg.
