The Rotter Forst-Süd is a 3.04 km² municipality-free area in the Rosenheim district in Bavaria .

The Rotter Forst-Süd is a state forest west of Rott a.Inn . As a nationally significant mixed forest and moorland area, the Rotter Forest South (together with the Rotter Forest North approx. 16 km²) is the largest forest area in the Rosenheim district.
history
The Rotter Forest goes back to the former Rotter monastery forest , which became state property in 1803 ( secularization in Bavaria ).
