The Strasser Giessen is a channel in the Tyrolean Lower Inn Valley , at the exit of the Zillertal valley into the Lower Inn Valley near Strass in the Zillertal .

The Strasser Giessen comes from Schlitters and accompanies the Ziller on the left for the last 2½ kilometers. It then flows  into the Inn at the Achental – Inntal – Zillertal (AIZ) sewage treatment plant directly at the mouth of the Ziller .

Due to the constructions on the Inn and Ziller, the Strasser Giessen catchment area encompasses the entire left side of the valley directly on the banks of the Ziller from the Schlitters bathing lake , up to the Larchkopf (Tux Alps)  ( 1375  m above sea level ), and the entire right Inn Valley from the Rotholz Agricultural School to the mouth of the Ziller, where a canal runs along the old avenue. A further drainage comes from the local area of Strass, where the Metzgerries - in the valley from Maria Brettfall - the only noteworthy natural flowing water flows (0.19 km² catchment area). Otherwise the Sporn Larchkopf – Brettfall of the Tuxer Voralpen is Schwazer Dolomit and Wildschönauer Schiefer , and without permanent streams.

The water itself has a total gradient of less than 10 meters, Gießen is a local name for the marginal drainage channels of the river plains .
