Sulzbach ( listen ^?^/^I ) is a district of Gaggenau in the Baden-Württemberg district of Rastatt . The once independent place, first mentioned in 1243, was incorporated into Gaggenau in 1973. The village used to belong to the Frauenalb monastery . The former municipality had an area of 5.31 km².

Location and transport links

Sulzbach is located east of the core town of Gaggenau in the valley of the Sulzbach , a right tributary of the Murg in the northern Black Forest . To the east rises the 694 meter high amber .

On April 1, 1973 Sulzbach was incorporated into the city of Gaggenau.
