Selbach is a district of Gaggenau in the Baden-Württemberg district of Rastatt . The once independent town, first mentioned in 1243, was incorporated into Gaggenau on April 1, 1970.

Selbach is located south of the core town of Gaggenau in the Selbach valley , a left tributary of the Murg in the northern Black Forest . The L 79a state road , which climbs steeply to the Wolfsschlucht , runs through the village . They connect buses of the Baden-Baden Selbach transport company with Gaggenau and Baden-Baden .
