Sunde ( Low German Sunn ) is a locality and noble property in the municipality of Oldendorf in the Lower Saxony district of Stade .

Geography and transport links

Sunde is located on the Stader Geest on the Sunder Lakes . The water from the area flows over the Hosterbeck .

Neighboring towns are Kuhla and Himmelpforten in the north, Düdenbüttel in the north-west, Heinbockel and Hagenah in the south-west, Oldendorf settlement in the south-east, Timmerlade in the east and Oldendorf in the north-east.

The district road 72 runs through Sunde , which leads in the north-west to Oldendorf to the state road 114 and in the south-east ends in the district road 57 . The K 57 is a feeder to federal highway 73 in Düdenbüttel and to federal highway 74 in Hagenah.

The next rail connection is 6 km away in Himmelpforten to the Niederelbebahn .

history

Sunde appears for the first time in 1500 in the Vörder Register . At that time Sunde Meiergut was owned by Archbishop Johann III of Bremen .

In the Swedish times and the second half of the 17th century, Daniel von Arentsschild had the court as a fief . In 1705, Christoph Daniel von Arentsschild was accepted into the knighthood of the Duchy of Bremen as the owner of Sunde . So the farm became a noble property. The estate remained in the possession of the von Arrentschild family until the 18th century. After that, the estate changed hands several times. In 1847 the Krull family bought the estate. The last sale took place in 1907 when Hermann Krull sold the noble goods to Otto von Gruben on Kuhla.

Administrative history

Sunde has been part of Oldendorf since it was founded and has never been an independent municipality.

Before 1885 Sunde belonged to the Börde Oldendorf in the office of Himmelpforten and after 1885 to the district of Stade and since 1932 to the district of Stade .

French period

During the French period from 1810 to 1814, Sunde belonged to the Mairie Oldendorf in the canton of Himmelpforten . In 1810/11 Sunde was part of the Kingdom of Westphalia , from 1811 to 1814 Sunde belonged directly to the French Empire under Napoleon .

Sunde is evangelical-Lutheran and belongs to the parish of the Martinskirche in Oldendorf. For the Catholic minority, the St. Michael's Church in Bremervörde responsible, since 1 September 2010 on the parish of the Holy Spirit in Stade belongs.
