Susan Brown (born May 4, 1932 in San Francisco , California - August 31, 2018 ) was an American actress .

Life

After graduating from high school, Brown studied at the University of Southern California and began her acting training. For the time being, her career was limited to the theater and Broadway . There she played alongside stars such as Marjorie Lord and Melvyn Douglas .

In 1956 she first appeared in a television series. Countless appearances in television productions followed. She celebrated her greatest success in the Soap General Hospital as Dr. Gail Baldwin. She played the role from 1977 to 1985. From 1992 to 2004 she was seen in the series at irregular intervals. In 1979 she received an Emmy nomination .

In addition to her acting, Susan Brown also worked as a designer . Her clients included Concetta Tomei , Anne Archer, and Kin Shriner .

Susan Brown last lived in the San Fernando Valley , California. Brown died in 2018 of complications from Alzheimer's disease .
