Susan Thorsgaard (born October 13, 1988 in Aarhus , Denmark ) is a Danish handball player who plays for the Danish first division club Odense Håndbold .
Career
Thorsgaard began playing handball at Brabrand IF at the age of nine . In 2006 she signed a contract with Silkeborg-Voel KFUM. Two years later, the cyclist moved to the first division club Ikast-Brande EH, who later renamed itself FC Midtjylland Håndbold . With the FCM she won the Danish Championship in 2011, 2013 and 2015, the EHF Cup in 2011, the Danish Cup in 2012, 2014 and 2015 and the European Cup Winners' Cup in 2015 . From summer 2016 she played for Odense Håndbold . As of January 2017, she paused due to her first pregnancy. Before she could make her comeback for Odense, she got pregnant again in the summer of 2018.
For the Danish national team , the right-hander has so far completed 131 international matches, in which she scored 216 goals. With the Danish selection, she took part in the 2010 European Championship , the 2011 World Cup and the 2013 World Cup. Thorsgaard won the bronze medal at the 2013 World Cup and scored eight goals in nine games. In summer 2012 she took part in the Olympic Games in London .
