Susann Opel-Götz

Susann Opel-Götz (born September 18, 1963 in Bayreuth ) is a German illustrator , author and graphic artist from Munich .

Life

Susann Opel-Götz studied art education, German literature and book illustration at the Academy of Fine Arts .

She became known, among other things, through her picture books " From today we are cool " and " Princess Anna or How to find a hero ". The latter was staged for the stage as a children's opera.

In 2012 she published her first children's book “ Aliens is elsewhere ”, which was selected for the list of recommendations for the Evangelical Book Prize.

Her works have been translated into numerous languages ​​and appear in various countries around the world. As an illustrator she worked with Paul Maar , Hilary McKay and Kirsten Boie , among others .

In 2016, Opel-Götz founded her own label " Paperboots " for stationery and gift items .
