Susanne Faschon ( pseudonym for: Susanne Margarete Stirn-Faschon , born May 3, 1925 in Kaiserslautern , † October 25, 1995 in Jakobsweiler ) was a German writer .

Life

Susanne Faschon worked as a clerk until 1984 , later as a librarian at the Mainz regional studio of Südwestfunk . She last lived in Hochheim am Main and Jakobsweiler am Donnersberg . In addition to her professional activity, she was active in literature and wrote narrative prose , poems (partly in Palatinate dialect ) and radio plays .

Susanne Faschon was a member of the Palatinate Literary Association and the Association of German Writers , of which she was a member until 1984. She received u. a. The following awards: 1944 the Scheffel Prize , 1963 a sponsorship prize from the Rhineland-Palatinate Art Prize and an honorary gift from the German Schiller Foundation , a travel grant from the Foreign Office in 1967 , the Palatinate Prize for Literature in 1978 , the Order of Merit of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate in 1993 and her dialect work in 1994 the Jakob Böshenz Prize from the community of Bockenheim an der Weinstrasse . Susanne Faschon's estate is in the Mainz City Library .

Susanne Faschon Prize

Since 2007, a prize bearing her name has been awarded every two years as part of the Donnersberger Literaturtage . The tender is endowed with a total of 1700 euros.
