Werner Hanfgarn (born March 24, 1925 in Duisburg-Meiderich ; † April 6, 1999 ) was a German journalist and radio play speaker.

Career

Hemp yarn passed its matriculation examination in Berlin-Charlottenburg in 1943 and then served in World War II. He was taken prisoner, from which he did not return home until 1947. He then studied theater studies, German literature and art history at the University of Mainz until 1951 . He then worked as a newspaper journalist and later as a radio journalist. He headed the culture department at Südwestfunk Mainz . In addition, he wrote several works from the history of the city of Mainz and reflections on its former mayor Jockel Fuchs . In 1986 he self-published the 2nd expanded edition of the documentation Mainz, which he published in 1984 : the amputated city of the three Mainz districts of Amöneburg , Kastel u., On the right bank of the Rhine, which the occupying powers added to Wiesbaden after the Second World War . Kostheim and the resulting AKK conflict .
