Symphorian Thomas Keeprath OFMCap (born April 22, 1931 in Koodalloor , Kerala , India , † May 3, 2015 in Ludhiana ) was Bishop of Jalandhar .

Life

Symphorian Thomas Keeprath joined the religious order of the Capuchins and was ordained a priest on March 22, 1958 .

Pope Paul VI appointed him Bishop of Jalandhar on December 6, 1971. He received his episcopal ordination from the Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in India , John Gordon , on March 18, 1972; Co- consecrators were Angelo Innocent Fernandes , Archbishop of Delhi , and Dominic Romuald Basil Athaide OFMCap, Archbishop of Agra .

On February 24, 2007, Pope Benedict XVI. his resignation request submitted for reasons of age.
