Szalmatercs is a Hungarian community in the county Szécsény in Nógrád county .
Geographical location
Szalmatercs is located in northern Hungary , about ten kilometers northeast of the city of Szécsény , on the small rivers Ménes-patak and Hagymás-patak . Neighboring municipalities are Karancsság, Piliny and Endrefalva .
Infrastructure
There is a cultural center, library, mayor's office and a Roman Catholic chapel in the village. Economically, the place is characterized by agriculture and trade. In the cultural field, the Búzavirág Népdalkör choir cultivates the tradition of Hungarian folk music.
