action

Dave Passenger lives in San Diego and works as an investigator for the Naval Criminal Investigative Service . He is said to be spending the vacation with his 15-year-old daughter Erica, who has already been convicted of several criminal offenses. However, Passenger is entrusted with an investigation into the murder of a woman.

Passenger travels to Fortune, Arizona , home to numerous Mormons who practice polygamy . He takes Erica with him. The investigator is looking for the suspected perpetrator friend of the murdered, Shane Roberson, who previously worked for the United States Navy and has gone into hiding. Meanwhile, his relationship with his daughter improves, but she is strained by the fact that she falls in love with Roberson.

Passenger arrests Roberson, who later escapes with the help of the local residents. The investigator notes that it was not Roberson but another person who may have committed the crime.
