Tąpkowice (German: Dombkowitz ) is a village in the powiat Tarnogórski in the Silesian Voivodeship , Poland . It has belonged to Gmina Ożarowice since 1997 .
From 1954 to 1972 Tąpkowice was the seat of the Gromada Tąpkowice . From 1973 to 1996 Tąpkowice was the main town of the Gmina of the same name . From 1975 to 1998 the village belonged to the Katowice Voivodeship .
Tąpkowice is located on the northern edge of the Upper Silesian Plate, about 21 km north of Katowice and about 12.5 km east of the district town of Tarnowskie Góry.

education
One of the two primary schools ( szkoła podstawowa ) of the municipality of Ożarowice is located in the village. The municipality's library is also located in the village and is housed in the cultural center.
