The TCG Büyükada (F-512) is an Ada-class corvette of the Turkish Navy and the sister ship of TCG Heybeliada (F-511) . It is designed for anti-submarine combat and is a stealth ship . The ship is named after the island of Büyükada . The TCG Büyükada was developed and built in the İstanbul naval shipyard as part of the MİlGEM project. the TCG Büyükada is designed for full use on a swell scale of five "rough seas".

The ship was launched on September 27, 2011 and entered service on September 28, 2013, the 475th anniversary of the Battle of Preveza .

Armament

The Büyükada has a helipad and an S-70B-28 Seahawk .

The ship is equipped with the GENESIS combat system. It controls search and navigation radars, electronic warfare , weapons, countermeasures, communications equipment, underwater and surface sensors. The ship is equipped with a 76mm OtoMelara Super Rapid naval gun and two Aselsan STAMP 12.7mm machine guns as well as eight AGM-84 Harpoon , 21 RAM (PDMS) and two 324mm Mark-32 -Triple torpedo tubes equipped for Mark 46 torpedoes.
