Football department

The first major success was achieved in 1978 with promotion to the Bavarian State League South, which was then the fourth league. Previously, TSV had only played in lower-class leagues. As a newcomer to the league, the Schweppermänner (the team's nickname in memory of Seyfried Schweppermann , who made a name for himself in the Battle of Ampfing ) promptly secured first place and thus rose to the third-class Bayern League . Relegation could be secured in the first Bayern league season 1979/80 . This season, TSV Ampfing also took part in the DFB Cup for the only time in its history , but lost to Bramfelder SV 2-1 after extra time in the first round . The Schweppermen stayed in the Bayern League for ten years. The most successful they were able to conclude the 1984/85 season , in which they finished third behind SpVgg Bayreuth and FC Augsburg .

In 1989 the Ampfinger had to go back to the Landesliga Süd. With the exception of the 1996/97 season, in which there was a brief interlude in the district league, they belonged to the state league until 2002. After relegation in the summer of 2002, the Schweppermen could no longer build on their old achievements. They stayed in the Oberbayern regional league for four years until they were relegated again in 2006.

From 2006 to 2009 the TSV Ampfing played in the regional league Upper Bavaria East, where he won the championship title in 2009. From 2009 to 2012 the Schweppermänner played again in the Oberbayern district league and after the league reform for the 2012/13 season were grouped into the sixth-class Southeast regional league . There you got down at the end of the season.

Stadion

The Isenstadion

TSV Ampfing plays its home games in the Raiffeisen Sportpark (Isenstadion until 2017). The stadium has 400 covered seats and 8,000 standing places, only the areas next to the main stand are provided with concrete steps. The remaining standing room is spread over the earth wall that leads around the field. There is a cinder track between the earth wall and the playing field.

In the mid-1990s, a floodlight system with six masts and an electronic display board were installed.

In the 1982/83 season, the audience record that is still valid today was set. Over 10,000 spectators were in the stadium for the 4-2 win over Bayern league competitors TSV 1860 Munich . On May 11, 1988, a junior international game took place in the Isenstadion: The German U-18 team defeated Switzerland 3-1 in qualifying for the U-18 European Championship .

In addition to the main playing field, there are two side courts and a small field court behind the grandstand.

The eponymous Isen flows north past the stadium.
