Taaoras Lied - Behind the Walls of Silence is an Austrian film for young people from 2017. The association culture fly created a 64-minute film with students from a Viennese high school and the support of film professionals.
action
Taaora's song is about a dictatorship in which music is forbidden and the dictator's tragic relationship with his son Quinton, who makes music.
Project "24 illuminated professions per second"
As part of the two-year project “24 illuminated professions per second”, culture fly created their own feature film with students from the Viennese high school BG & BRG Boerhaavegasse with the support of professional filmmakers such as Karl Markovics , Dieter Pochlatko , Elisabeth Scharang and others.
Together with culture fly and professionals, the young people wrote their own script, composed the film music, developed the costume, mask and scene design and took on tasks in front of and behind the camera.
The President of the Austrian Composers' Association, Alexander Kukelka, composed the film music with the young people and recorded it with them.
During the shooting, the students were supported by students and young filmmakers, with the students taking on tasks on set both in front of and behind the camera.
The result is the 64-minute youth film Taaoras Lied - Behind the Walls of Silence , about a dictatorship in which music is forbidden.
The project was financed through a benefit art auction organized and carried out by Otto Hans Ressler . The works were donated to the project by Valie Export , Christian Ludwig Attersee , Arnulf Rainer and Ernst Fuchs , among others .
