Tacabro was an Italian Dance - Trio , the first from the two DJs and producers Mario Romano and Salvatore "Salvo" Sapienza was until 2012 Raúl Rodríguez Martínez (as Ruly MC known) after several collaborations joined the project.

Career

Romano and Sapienza were both born in Catania , Sicily , where they still live today. They initially worked as DJs and remixers in the discos of Catania until they decided in summer 2008 to record their own songs under their previous name Romano & Sapienza . The debut - single of the duo appeared in the fall of 2008 and was called Judas brass . It was released by the record label Hollister Records . Two years later they drew attention again with the single La Partita Di Pallone . The song was recorded with Rita Pavone .

Martínez Rodríguez was born in Havana , Cuba and came to Turin, Italy in 2002. There he began to work as a singer and dancer in various Latin clubs under his stage name Ruly MC .

Since 2011 they have recorded many songs as a trio . Among them were the two club hits Mujeres and I Like Reggaeton and the single Tacatà, which eventually reached international fame . Rodríguez joined the project in May 2012 and they renamed themselves Tacabro .

In June 2012, Tacatà was also released outside Italy, but no longer under the name Romano & Sapienza feat. Rodriguez , but under their current band name Tacabro .

Tacatà became a huge hit across Europe. The single was able to reach the top of the charts in several countries . These included Denmark, Austria, France and Switzerland. Tacatà reached number 5 in the German single charts and rose to number 2 on the official iTunes charts. The piece was also represented in the world charts and reached 37th place. In Italy reached Tacata in April 2012 platinum status .

In autumn 2012 they released the song Asi Asi as a single, which, however, did not reach the charts.
