Tacobamba is a town in the Potosí department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

Tacobamba is the central place of the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Tacobamba in the province of Cornelio Saavedra . The town of Tacobamba is located at an altitude of 3011  m on the left bank of the Río Tacobamba , one of the headwaters of the Río Pilcomayo , which in turn is one of the tributaries of the Río Paraguay .

Tacobamba is located east of the Altiplano in one of the valleys of the Bolivian Cordillera Cantral . The region has a typical time of day climate, i. This means that the temperature differences between day and night are greater than the temperature differences between the seasons.
