The municipality of Tacobamba is a district in the Potosí department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
The municipality of Tacobamba is one of three municipalities in the province of Cornelio Saavedra . It borders the province of Chayanta to the northwest , the province of Tomás Frías to the west, the municipality of Betanzos to the south and southeast , and the department of Chuquisaca to the northeast . It extends for about 60 kilometers in a north-south and over 40 kilometers in an east-west direction.
