The Taillevent is a wind turbine - installation vessel , which from 2011 Cosco Nantong Shipyard was built in China.

history

The ship was built under the hull number N271 by the Cosco Nantong Shipyard in China. The keel was laid on May 12, 2010, the launch on March 29, 2011. The ship was delivered to the owner Adventure Shipping at the end of October 2011. The ship was launched for MPI Offshore as MPI Discovery under the flag of the Netherlands . The ship is a further development of the MPI Resolution .

In 2018 the ship was sold to the Jan de Nul Group . The new name of the ship, which is now operated under the flag of Luxembourg , was Taillevent .

Technical specifications

The ship is powered by three azimuth propellers from Rolls-Royce (type: US 355 FP), each driven by an electric motor with a power of 3250 kW . It reaches a speed of 12.5  knots . For maneuvering and dynamic positioning , three electrically powered bow thrusters with 1500 kW each were installed. Six diesel engines from the manufacturer Rolls-Royce-Bergen (type: C25: 33L-8), each with an output of 2560 kW, are available to drive the generators.

6000 t can be loaded on board. The working deck has an area of ​​3600 m² and can be loaded with up to 10 t / m². The construction crane of the type Gusto MSC GCC-100-HD has a capacity of 1,000 tons with a 25 meter outreach, there are also two auxiliary cranes with a capacity of 160 tons and 50 tons. Hydraulic systems acting on the six 73.00 meter long lifting legs are used for jacking up. This allows the ship to work in water up to 40 meters deep.

There are cabins on board for a total of 112 crew members and workers. The ship is approved for the accommodation of 200 people.

The ship can stay at sea for 45 days.
