Talisa Soto

Talisa Soto (* 27. March 1967 in Brooklyn , New York City as Miriam Soto ) is an American model and actress .

life and career

Talisa Soto's parents came to the United States from Puerto Rico in the 1950s . Soto grew up in Massachusetts . She received her first job as a model in 1982 at the age of 15. It was very successful in the 1980s and appeared on the covers of numerous magazines such as Vogue and Elle .

In 1986, Soto appeared in the music video for Each time you break my heart alongside her then boyfriend, singer and model Nick Kamen . Soto has also appeared in various films. Including alongside Timothy Dalton in James Bond 007 - License to Kill (1989), alongside Faye Dunaway in the television film Murderous Shadows (1990) and together with Antonio Banderas in Mambo Kings (1992). In the movie One Murder Too Much (1993) she had one of the leading roles alongside Sam Neill . In Don Juan de Marco (1995) she played alongside Marlon Brando and Johnny Depp , in Ballistic (2002) again alongside Banderas and Lucy Liu . She was also in the television series Go West (1993), in which she appeared alongside Beau Bridges and Lloyd Bridges . She last appeared as an actress in 2009 after a break of several years. Her work includes two dozen productions.

Soto was married to fellow actor Costas Mandylor from 1997 to 2000 . In 2002 she married fellow actor Benjamin Bratt and they have two children with him. The couple live in Los Angeles .
